“KPop Demon Hunters” broke the headlines as it finally achieved the feat that the whole world was waiting on, which was to dethrone Alex Warren. Just Kidding!

The achievement actually made waves as HUNTR/X of “KPop Demon Hunters” broke a number of records.

  • 1st girl group to claim the No. 1 spot since Destiny’s Child since 2001!
  • 1st K-pop vocalist to claim the No.1 spot
  • 9th K-pop song to claim the No.1 spot (previous record holders are all achieved by BTS & their members)
  • 2nd Fictional characters to claim the No.1 spot

Let’s break the Billboard charts all down ⬇️

📈 Billboard Hot 100:

HUNTR/X is the new reigning queen of the Hot 100 chart as ‘Golden’ finally dethrones Alex Warren from the No. 1 spot. Ejae, who co-wrote and voiced Rumi, thanked her fans on her Instagram stories with hearts and happy crying face emojis.

Other KDH soundtracks in the Hot 100:

  • No. 8: Your Idol – Saja Boys (⬆️ From No.9)
  • No. 14: ‘Soda Pop’ – Saja Boys (⬆️ From No.16)
  • No. 19:How It’s Done – HUNTR/X (➡️ No.19)
  • No. 25: What It Sounds Like’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No. 29)
  • No. 27: ‘Free– Rumi & Jinu (EJAE & Andrew Choi) (⬆️ From No. 28)
  • No. 29: ‘Takedown’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No.33)
  • No. 67: Takedown – Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung of Twice (⬆️ From No. 76)

It seems like minus How It’s Done , all songs have climbed up the charts.

Now, some K-pop rises and stumbles:

  • Maybe the VMA nominations helped a bit as Rosé & Bruno Mars’ ‘APT’ nudged up to No. 43 from No. 45.
  • Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s ‘Jump’ stumbled to No. 63 from No. 61.
  • Maybe it’s the “KPop Demon Hunters” effect or the Lollapalooza effect because‘Strategy’ by TWICE & Megan Thee Stallion bumped up to No. 69 from No. 74.

🎧 Billboard 200:

It’s a pity that “KPop Demon Hunters” was unable to budge from No.2 spot because boy it could have been a triple threat! 😜 (Better luck next week?!)

But oooh… it seemed like TOMORROW X TOGETHER drowned quickly to No. 43 (from last week’s No.3) with The Star Chapter: Together’. 😬

But you got to give props to TWICE and Katseye for holding tight in Billboard 200 because they’re still surviving.

  • No. 48: ‘This is For’ – TWICE (⬇️ From No. 43)
  • No. 69: ‘Beautiful Chaos (EP)’ – Katseye (⬇️ From No. 61)

🌍 Billboard Global 200:

It looks like“KPop Demon Hunters” won’t be stepping down soon as it reigns the No.1 spot for 6 consecutive weeks with smash hit song ‘Golden’ . On the other hand, Saja Boys slipped one spot down to No.4 with ‘Soda Pop’ .

KDH soundtracks are still staying strong:

  • No. 5: ‘Your Idol’ – Saja Boys (⬆️ From No.6)
  • No. 8: How It’s Done – HUNTR/X (⬇️ From No.7)
  • No. 12: What It Sounds Like’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No. 15)
  • No. 13: ‘Free– Rumi & Jinu (EJAE & Andrew Choi) ( ➡️ No. 13)
  • No. 15: ‘Takedown’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No.18)
  • No. 45: Takedown – Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung of Twice (⬆️ From No. 47)

Woo it looks like it paid off performing live in the US! Those that performed at Lollapalooza Chicago 2025 and KCON LA 2025 experienced the jump in the charts!

Final Thoughts 🥸

OMG! Tell me if you agree with me or not down below! 👇

  • Will “KPop Demon Hunters” be able to achieve the triple threat status?
  • Will ‘Golden’ manage to stay on No.1? (How long will it stay No.1?!)
  • Will other “KPop Demon Hunters” songs pose as a threat to the reigning ‘Golden’ ?
