HUNTR/X may have lost the Hot 100 crown, but Saja Boys worked their magic with not one, but two Top 10 hits! Let’s recap Billboard for the week of Aug. 23! 👩🏻🍵

Unfortunately, “KPop Demon Hunters” ‘s reign was short-lived as Alex Warren took back the crown. 🥲 But no worries, as Saja Boys stepped up and invaded the Top 10 with not 1, but 2 of their songs!
📈 Billboard Hot 100:
Unfortunately, the reign of ‘Golden’ was cut short as Alex Warren reclaimed the crown 🥲. But fear not—Saja Boys pulled through with not one but TWO Top 10 entries. The boys have landed on both No. 4 and No.10 with their hit songs ‘Your Idol‘ and ‘Soda Pop’ .
Other KDH soundtracks in the Hot 100:
- No. 14: ‘How It’s Done ‘– HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No.19)
- No. 24: ‘What It Sounds Like’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No. 25)
- No. 25: ‘Free‘– Rumi & Jinu (EJAE & Andrew Choi) (⬆️ From No. 27)
- No. 26: ‘Takedown’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No.29)
- No. 60: ‘Takedown‘ – Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung of Twice (⬆️ From No. 66)
Dang, “KPop Demon Hunters” continues to be on the rise with almost all of their songs climbing up the charts.
Now, some K-pop rises and stumbles:
- Maybe the on-going votings for Rosé’s VMA nominations contributed to Rosé & Bruno Mars’ ‘APT’ climbing back to No. 41 from No. 43?
- Meanwhile, BLACKPINK’s ‘Jump’ took a big downward leap to No. 74 from No. 63.
- TWICE & Megan Thee Stallion‘Strategy’ is still going strong as it jumps to No. 62 from No. 69.
- ‘Gabriela’ re-enters the chart at a whopping No.76. That’s a comeback entrance if I’ve ever seen one 👏🔥
🎧 Billboard 200:
Just as Alex Warren is not giving up on the top spot of Hot 100 chart, Morgan Wallen refuses to budge from the Top spot of Billboard 200, because “KPop Demon Hunters” is once again sitting too comfortably on No.2 spot.
Meanwhile, it’s been downhills for TWICE to No. 61 from No. 48, since they completed their performance in Lollapalooza Chicago. But what the heck is going on with Katseye? 👀 They must be doing something right as they jumped massively to No. 50 from No. 69?!
🌍 Billboard Global 200:
Hey, at least “KPop Demon Hunters” is sitting comfortably on No.1 for 8 consecutive week with ‘Golden’ . Saja Boy is catching up to HUNTR/X’s popularity as they climbed back to No.3 with ‘Soda Pop’ .
KDH soundtracks are still staying strong:
- No. 4: ‘Your Idol’ – Saja Boys (⬆️ From No.5)
- No. 5: How It’s Done ‘– HUNTR/X (⬇️ From No.8)
- No. 11: ‘What It Sounds Like’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No. 12)
- No. 13: ‘Free‘– Rumi & Jinu (EJAE & Andrew Choi) ( ➡️ On No. 13)
- No. 14: ‘Takedown’ – HUNTR/X (⬆️ From No.15)
- No. 36: ‘Takedown‘ – Jeongyeon, Jihyo, Chaeyoung of Twice (⬆️ From No. 45)
It ain’t looking good for most of the K-pop songs as songs excluding those of Katseye and ‘Strategy’ (which technically has “KPop Demon Hunters” tie-in) are dropping downwards.

Final Thoughts 🥸
If I can sum up this week, “KPop Demon Hunters” is not a triple threats to the Billboard charts. But on a positive note, “KPop Demon Hunters” still is dominating the charts in general since it’s continuously climbing the charts. Maybe the charts will heat up even more since a sing-along event is coming up this weekend! 🔥
On another note, I think the general population is getting tired of the K-pop songs. I mean at least with the songs on the charts since it’s pretty much been the same for weeks. 🥱 It’s high time that the K-pop machine start churning out new songs to enlighten our tired and bored ears and eyes!
Tune into next week to see (and hear) whether any of my wishes have come true! 😝
