“KPop Demon Hunters” just can’t catch a break 😮💨 Even after weeks of smashing Netflix records and holding down Billboard’s top spots, Sabrina Carpenter swoops in with a shiny new album. She debuts at No.1 on the Billboard 200, while “KPop Demon Hunters” still clings to their crown — 11 weeks strong on the Hot 100 and Global 200. 👑 But how long can they hold it?
Meanwhile, they still have the record for multiple soundtracks in Top 10 simultaneously “KPop Demon Hunters”, with 4 songs in the Hot 100 chart and 5 songs in the Global 200 chart! 😆
Kpop Songs Sliding Downwards 😬
Most “KPop Demon Hunters” and K-pop songs slipped downwards this week as Sabrina Carpenter made a bang with her new album.
With the exception of ‘Golden’ and ‘How It’s Done’, all the “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtracks and K-pop songs all slipped downwards on the Hot 100 chart. Things look pretty much the same on the Global 200 chart as all songs followed a downward trend with the exception of ‘Golden’ , which stayed steadily firm on No.1 spot and surprisingly, Jin’s ‘Don’t Say You Love Me’ peaked to No. 81 from No.84.
Stray Kids Clinging Tight! 😤
Stray Kids has dropped from the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 with their new album KARMA. But luckily, they haven’t strayed away so far as they are still on the No.4 spot. Sadly, the same cannot be said for their single ‘Ceremony’ as it dropped from No. 10 to No. 44 from last week and completely disappeared from the Hot 100 chart. 😭
Same Old K-pop Songs… and One New Song?! 😮
Let’s be real — the Global 200 has been recycling the same tired playlist for weeks: “KPop Demon Hunters” soundtracks, BTS solos, Blackpink’s ‘Jump,’ and Rosé’s ‘APT.’ 🥱 Finally, some fresh blood.
But K-pop is slowly making an effort to refresh our ears with new music. Last week, it was Stray Kids’ ‘Ceremony’ . This week, it’s ‘XOXZ’ from IVE, debuting on No. 89 on the Global 200 chart! Excited!!
