Stray Kids rules the Billboard 200 the seventh time and “Kpop Demon Hunters” stay atop the Hot 100 and Global 200 charts. Billboard Recap for the week of September 6th!

Stray Kids Hot Debut 🔥:
Stray Kids just made headlines as they scored their seventh No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with their newest album KARMA. According to Billboard, the boys has earned the No.1 spot with all seven entries in the Billboard 200 since 2022 with their album ORDINARY. With this feat, Stray Kids has managed to surpass groups such as BTS, Linkin Park and Dave Matthews Band for the most No.1s on the Billboard 200 this century (since 2000).
Not only that, but the boys soared straight onto the Hot 100 at No. 52 with “Ceremony” from KARMA. Can they keep climbing next week, or will this be a one-hit wonder moment? We shall see… 🥸
Kpop Demon Hunters 🇰🇷🎤👹
The history made by the ‘Golden’ queens ✨👑 last week is still standing as the soundtrack holds onto No.1 spot for the third weeks in a row. Not only that, but four of the “KPop Demon Hunters” songs (including ‘Golden’ ) are continuing their record-bresaking run. It seems like some “KPop Demon Hunters” songs are inching higher, some are holding steady — but one thing’s clear. These tracks aren’t going anywhere yet!

An Eye Out for KATSEYE: 🐱👀
2025 is shaping up to be KATSEYE’s year. From their viral GAP ad to their Lollapalooza Chicago set, the group is on fire — and now they’re headed to the VMAs with a pre-show performance on September 7!
On the Hot 100:
- No. 63: ‘Gabriela‘ (⬆️ From No. 72)
- No.98: ‘Gnarly’ (Re-Entry)
Blackpink Slips 😬
It’s a bit of a yawn fest for Blackpink this week. Rosé’s collab APT with Bruno Mars slid to No.43, and Blackpink’s JUMP is down at No.78. Can the girls bring the hype back at the VMAs? With all four members nominated, here’s hoping Rosé (my fave 😭) and the crew deliver some much-needed spark!!
👩🏻🍵 Final Thoughts
Finally, a newcomer on the charts — I was starting to yawn these past few weeks 🥱. Here’s hoping more fresh entries shake things up soon. And with the VMAs just around the corner, the stage is set for some major movement 🤭.
(PS: This post came later than usual thanks to Billboard’s Labor Day delay 😤. I’ll be updating as the charts shift.)
So tell me — are you loving the new boy group energy? Which K-pop track is your current chart fave? Drop it in the comments ⬇️
