Rumors of an upcoming new album, plus Lisa surprises fans with a short film project.
Blinks Rejoice! 🥳 It’s Blackpink in your area!
Just when we (or maybe it was just me 🤭) thought that the end of the currently on-going DEADLINE tour meant the disbandment of Blackpink… In a delightfully surprising twist, there’s already rumblings of new album! (I am majorly screaming inside! 😭😭)

According to a report from Korean media My Daily this morning, Blackpink is allegedly gearing up to release a new album in November. This would mark three years since their last album, Born Pink, dropped in September 2022. It’s also said they’ve already completed photoshoots for the album jacket and plan to record new tracks and finish the album within the next two months. When reached for comment, YG Entertainment said they will make an official announcement later.
Can you wait until November? Because I definitely can’t! 😭 This album better be good and make up for the “sorry excuse” that was their recent song “Jump”! 🤨 Okay, it’s not that bad — but it definitely wasn’t their best. 🤷🏻♀️
Lisa Stars in Short Film ‘Dream’
So while we impatiently wait for Blackpink’s “alleged” upcoming album, let’s turn our eyes to Lisa, who’s been making waves lately. (Wink wink 😏)
This morning, Lisa announced on her official Instagram that she will be releasing a short film for her solo track ‘Dream’ from her debut studio album Alter Ego released back in February. The song alludes to a past heartbreak and her wish to reconnect—even if just as friends.
The short film will premiere on August 13th 11pm EST, starring alongside top Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi.
It’ll be interesting to see Lisa expand her acting range. She played it safe in The White Lotus, but can she bring out the deeper emotions here? We’ll find out when it drops this week! 😆
So, what do you think of two Blackpink-related headlines in one day?! Are you excited for their “alleged” new album and Lisa’s short film? Let me know your thoughts down in the comments below! ⬇️
