1) “Kpop Demon Hunters” Gets Rare Theater Love (& Sing-alongs)!
Netflix’s surprise summer hit movie “Kpop Demon Hunters” isn’t dying down anytime soon. It’s been topping charts and breaking Netflix records since its June 20 release.✨
Now in a rare twist, Netflix is reportedly giving the movie a theatrical treatment. According to Screen Rant, “Kpop Demon Hunters” will get a theatrical run on August 23-24, complete with a sing-along soundtrack event. (High School Musical flashbacks, anyone? 😏)
Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation haven’t officially confirmed it yet, but if true, it’s a treat for fans who want to scream-sing their favorite tracks IRL.

Honestly, Netflix should have done this right after the release. The hype would have been mind blowing! Took them long enough! 🙂↔️ At least they came into a realization – better late than never! My only big question: Will this event only be in the U.S. or will other major cities worldwide get to enjoy the sing-alongs too?
2) BTS Shuts Down Michael Jackson Tribute Album Rumors
Embed from Getty ImagesRupert Murdoch owned tabloid The Irish Sun reported on August 3 that BTS secretly recorded one of Michael Jackson’s unreleased tracks at Grouse Lodge in Ireland last year.
The source of the rumor was none other than Paddy Dunning, the owner of the recording studio. He also teased a “10-track tribute album” plus a documentary about Michael Jackson — allegedly approved by Jackson’s estate.
Cue the K-pop community in frenzy. Big Hit Music had to step in to put out a statement in order to deny any association with Michael Jackson:
“BTS has neither visited Grouse Lodge Studio in Ireland nor recorded any music there. Reports claiming the group participated in a Michael Jackson tribute album are also untrue. We are continuing to take action to prevent the spread of inaccurate information.”
Well… this is an embarrassment for The Irish Sun. 🤷🏻♀️

The rumor never made any sense since BTS were all in the army last year. Big Hit Music had to step in before the rumor turned into a shit storm. 😬 That being said, BTS x Michael Jackson would have been iconic. Hope that BTS’s new album at least have some other interesting collaborations up in their sleeves! 🤭
3) Lisa’s Spicy Moves Sparks Online Debate
At Blackpink’s Deadline tour stop in Paris (Aug 3), Lisa turned up the heat (too high?!) with sexually suggestive dance moves. 🥵 She pulled out a full-on pole routine — in a teeny skirt with nude underwear that had some fans clutching pearls. 😱 Watch the video below yourself and tell me if you think the dance moves are hot AF or too risque?

She’s almost 30, she’s been in the game nearly a decade, and she’s aiming at the U.S. market. If you want to succeed, you’ve got to play by the rule. After all, the US is where sexy pop performances are the norm. The only part I side-eye though?
