1️⃣ BTS Jimin and Jungkook Returns to Fans Loving Arms After Completing Military Service
Jimin and Jungkook of mega K-pop group BTS are officially off the hook! They officially completed their duty in the morning of June 11th 2025. The two stars saluted 🫡 in front of cheering fans and took the time to thank those serving in the military.
They rejoin members who previously completed their service, Jin and J-hope last year and V and R.M who were released early in June. Now all that’s left is Suga, who will be released on June 21st.
Since their release, there’s already been so much update. Starting from Jungkook who’s attended J-hope’s concert and the creepy news about some sasaeng fan who trespassed into his home 😬Both Jimin and Jungkook have also updated their instagrams.

👩🏻 ☕ Kayla’s thoughts: It seems like Jimin and Jungkook have had a nice time during the military, considering the fact that they are quite chubby. No shade 😉Most Korean boys would dread going to the army. I think though, it would have been quite different for BTS.
For one, they would be living a sheltered life where there is no one to scrutinize their every movement. They would be fed well and would sleep well on the clock. They would be free from all the stress of perfection, dieting or mobs of crazy fans. Plus, who would dare bully or make Jimin and Jungkook do the hard work? I bet many guys would be eager to be their friend, or at least get on their good side. No wonder Jimin and Jungkook look chubby and happy. 😜Good Rest you guys!
2️⃣ Blake Lively Subpoenas Hybe America in On-Going Legal Battle Against Justin Baldoni
According to several outlets such as Deadline and Variety on June 11th, Blake Lively’s camp has issued a subpoena to Scooter Braun’s Hybe America. One might ask, where’s the connection? 🧐
Well, the headline suggests that Blake Lively is targeting Scooter Braun, who’s one of Taylor Swift’s forever nemesis. The truth? It’s just that Hybe America, where Scooter Braun presides as the CEO, has a majority stake in Melissa Nathan’s The Agency Group (aka TAG). Hence, it’s why they’re being subpoenaed.
Apparently, when Justin Baldoni’s camp first hired Melissa Nathan and this was heavily covered by the media, Jennifer Abel, publicist of Justin Baldoni, had mentioned via text “at least they didn’t mention Scooter”.
So far, neither camp has commented on this latest development but we’ll see…
👩🏻 ☕ Kayla’s thoughts: O.M.G!!!😝 As someone who’s currently obsessed with the Justin Baldoni vs Blake Lively drama, I forever wanted to write about and share my two cents on this topic. Until now, I couldn’t because there just wasn’t any common factor but now, yay! I get to write about it, even though it’s just a fraction of the drama!
As a non-legal expert, this just looks like a dumb and desperate move by Blake Lively’s camp. 😩 How is Hybe America connected and what could they possibly get out of this subpoena?!
Some are saying that Blake Lively is purposely doing this to get on Taylor’s good grace, while others are saying that she’s just doing the opposite of what Taylor wants, which is to get dragged back to this drama. This feels like a stretch… and not the yoga kinda stretch 🫢
3️⃣ Retail Magnate’s Granddaughter Annie’s Debut Coming Soon from The Black Label
South Korean record label The Black Label (rooted from YG Entertainment) has announced that Moon Seo-yoon, also known as Annie, will be debuting as one of the members of an upcoming five member mixed idol group, All Day Project.
This is huge news. 🤯 After all, she is the heiress of Korea’s second largest retail group, Shinsegae Group. Just to highlight her family, she is the niece of the late Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee and granddaughter to Lee Myeong-hee, the chairwoman of Shinsegae Group. Her mother is currently the chairwoman of Shinsegae Department Store.
Not only that, it’s been quite some time since a mixed group was launched. The last group was KARD in 2017 (they are supposedly popular in other countries but they basically have zero presence in Korea). Mixed groups were hot in the 90’s, that is, until jealous fans started to go crazy and not to mention teenage hormones that led to dating and breaking up and messy group dynamics (Supposedly) 😏
But any-hoo, let’s keep a lookout for them and see if they can bolster The Black Label’s performance as their first group MEOVV hasn’t quite made the splash in the K-pop scene yet.
👩🏻 ☕ Kayla’s thoughts: As I said earlier, this is huge news. Who would’ve thunk that one day, an heiress of a chaebol group wouldl become an idol? 😳This would have been unthinkable even just 10 years ago. In the olden days, the higher your social status, the more they looked down on entertainers. Not only that, in the past, being a celebrity was a source of quick fame, quick cash grab (if you do become famous), enough to support a whole family. Because many celebrities used to come from a low income families, they were able to last because they had the grit and ambition to keep up with the cut-throat industry.
That’s why it’s so interesting that an heiress became an idol member. Will she have the grit and ambition to work her ass off? Especially because being an idol is a grueling and demanding occupation. If she doesn’t reach the stardom level, will she stick around? I mean she does have enough money to buy out her contract so… Like I’m not really curious about her ability as an idol, but rather, I’m more curious to see how her family background will come into play in her idol career. 🧐
