Apparently, Scarlett Johansson can’t get enough of Jurassic Park and Kimchi!
Actress Scarlett Johansson visited Seoul this week to promote her highly anticipated blockbuster Jurassic Park Rebirth. She joined co-stars Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and director Gareth Edwards at a press conference held at the Four Seasons Hotel on July 2nd, 2025.

Of course, the Jurassic Park Rebirth cast and crew spent plenty of time raving about how amazing the movie is. 😏 But let’s be honest—we’ll skip the promo talk.
The real highlight? The obligatory “I love Korea” moment—aka Saranghaeyo Hanguk! 🇰🇷
Yes, the routine every foreign celeb does during their Korean promo run. The bigger the public display of affection for Korea, the more attention from Korean fans… and hopefully, a box office smash! 💥
So who won this round? None other than Scarlett Johansson herself.
According to Scarlett,
“This morning I just ended up buying a bunch of make-up (in Myeong-Dong)… and I think I had seven kinds of Kimchi for breakfast”
This quote has become the headliner because let’s face it.
Yes, you read that right. Seven kinds of kimchi. For breakfast.
Now, let’s be real: even most Koreans don’t eat seven types of kimchi at one meal—let alone at breakfast. 😅 So this quote was instantly hilarious, borderline cringe, and also kind of impressive. A+ effort! And yes, the Korean public ate it up. 😆
Scarlett’s adventure isn’t over yet- as she will also be appearing in “You Quiz on the Block”, a popular TV show hosted by famous Korean mc Yoo Jae-suk and his sidekick Jo Se-ho.
And let’s not forget Jonathan Bailey, who gave Scarlett a run for her money. His Instagram post? Pure gold. Between the Korean caption, heart cheeks, granny-style hanbok, and piggybacking the director… he might have won over my heart instead. 😂
Even director Gareth Edwards jumped in, shouting “한국이 최고야!” (Korea is the best!) at the press conference. He reminisced about attending the Bucheon International Film Festival years ago, saying when he got an award there, he realized Korean fans “have the best taste.” Not wrong!
To wrap it up…
💬 Do I love the “I love Korea” promo moment?
No.
💬 Does it work in the Korean market?
Absolutely.
But hey, at least Scarlett’s “seven kimchi” line gave us something to remember—equal parts adorable, awkward, and totally on brand. 😂🫣
