So in my previous post “Scarlett Johansson Loves Jurassic Park-and Kimchi?!“, I briefly teased that Scarlett Johansson had a big Korean TV appearance coming up.
Well, just as promised, on July 9, 2025, Scarlett Johansson made a guest appearance on the hit variety show You Quiz on the Block. The show is hosted by Korea’s top MC Yoo Jae-Suk and the his sidekick host Jo Se-ho.
On the show’s 301st episode, Scarlett got personal about her child acting days and her love for “Jurassic Park”. As a child actor, her famously husky voice had led her to many failed auditions. But over time, she learned to get over the insecurities and embraced it—eventually winning accolades for her voice role in the film Her.
She also spilled some behind-the-scenes tea ☕—like how she wasn’t the original choice for Black Widow. Instead of being bitter, she stayed grounded. Luckily, she got a second chance and well, the rest is Marvel history. 😁
Despite being crowned “Hollywood’s Highest-Grossing Actor Ever,” Scarlett admitted she still gets nervous before starting new roles. (Relatable queen 👑.)
The vibe wasn’t all serious though. Scarlett joked about inviting the hosts to NYC and giving them a tour. She even promised them free passes to Rockefeller Center—where her husband, Colin Jost, writes for SNL. She also laughed about how she ended up footing the bill during a recent Jurassic Park press outing in London. 😂
Korean netizens were charmed. Many praised Scarlett for being classy, candid, and respectful. Comments called her “forthright” and “easygoing,” and some even said they became fans because of this one appearance.
And that’s probably why “Jurassic Park” became the #1 movie in its opening week in Korea. 😉
